Books & Information Available About Telemetry Prognostic Technology

Resources for understanding and quantifying the impact on factory production and the benefits of prognostic technology on out-the-door product reliability, increasing product life are available through a large number of resources.

Universities across the country offer classes in prognostic technology. Conferences on prognostic health management are held yearly, allowing students, graduate-level and Ph.D candidates the opportunity to publish papers and interact with others in the fieled.

Dr. Len Losik has published 2 books along with several papers on predicting electrical & mechanical failures for satellites and launch vehicles and are available from most Internet based book stores such as Amazon.com, Borders.com, Waldenbooks.com etc. We recommend purchasing our books from an Internet book store because they can be shipped to you much faster than brick & mortor stores.

We recommend ordering our books from Amazon.com because you can receive your copy in a few days. Brick & mortor book stores such as Barnes & Noble  and Borders must order them from their distributers which takes many weeks.

Title: An Introduction to Predicting Failures & Measuring Remaining Life for Highly Reliable Aerospace Equipment

This is a brief history and use of Failure Analysis' Telemetry Prognostic technology development funded by the U.S. Air Force on the Global Positioning System beginning in 1978 and on the low earth orbiting NASA astrophysics satellite, the Extreme Ultra-Violet Explorer which was launched in 1992 and re-entered earths atmosphere in 2002.

Title: Predicting Failures & Measuring Remaining Equipment Life for Highly Reliable Aerospace Equipment

This is a an almost complete history of the development and use of Failure Analysis' Telemetry Prognostics technology funded by the U. S. Air Force Global Positioning System beginning in 1978 for the most technically challenging application of all; satellites in low earth orbit.

It includes many additional chapters and a final report by Lockheed Martin Space & Missiles Company Reliability Analysis group who spent over $100,000 during a 6 month R&D effort to analyze the technical merit and feasibility of Failure Analysis' Failure Prediction technology use on the Trident Fleet Ballistic Missile Program and its suitability for software implementation.
